Position Overview

As a multi-disciplined interactive designer/developer at XM, you will be responsible for the creation and development of enhancements and modifications for key public and internal websites, applications, and online initiatives. The incumbent will report directly to the Creative Director, Interactive and will work closely with business units, external vendors, & partners across the organization to support XM’s corporate strategic initiatives through the growth and evolution of XM online services.

Key Accountabilities

Create, develop & manage XM websites, online services & applications.

Duties include:
• Planning/Analysis
• ColdFusion code development
• JavaScript code development
• SQL development
• HTML code development
• Flex/Flash code development
• Database design
• IT & software release versioning
• Graphic design & production for the web
• Web analytics & reporting SEO/SEM
• User acceptance testing

- Work closely with XM Listener Care to develop self-serve tools & applications supporting the call center & XM subscriber base
- Work closely with the product development team to support existing and new online streaming, mobile, and IP-based products & services
- Work closely with the XM Marketing department to support mass & online marketing initiatives, customer communications & one-to-one marketing
- Work closely with Direct Sales Manager to support & grow online sales channels
- Work closely with XM IT and business solution providers to integrate systems functionality & data
- Research, analyze, evaluate and develop new ColdFusion based functionality for xmradio.ca and additional XM web properties
- Maintain and configure new and existing development & production ColdFusion server environments
- Participate in weekly meetings across XM business units

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in developing ColdFusion based websites & applications
• 3-5 years experience working with databases and SQL
• Working knowledge and experience with CFML, CFC's, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MXML, ActionScript, XML, Web Services and API's
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and web production/graphic design
• Familiarity with Java
• Self-starter, outgoing and a team player

Ability to manage & prioritize multiple projects/deadlines
